As the President of Nigerian Mental Health Practitioners USA Inc., I have dedicated my career to improving mental healthcare both in the United States and Nigeria. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with certifications across four states, which has equipped me with a broad and deep understanding of the complexities involved in mental health. Since taking on the role of president in 2018, I have led the organization with a clear vision: to enhance the mental health landscape in Nigeria by providing essential services and reducing the stigma associated with mental illness.
My work is driven by a commitment to making mental health care accessible and effective for those who need it most. Through initiatives such as medication distribution and the Train-the-Trainer program, I strive to create a sustainable impact that extends beyond immediate relief. I believe that by empowering local healthcare providers and raising awareness about mental health issues, I can help build a future where individuals in Nigeria have the resources and support they need to manage their mental health effectively.
Leading NMHPUSA Inc. has been both a challenge and a privilege. The journey requires resilience and a strong sense of purpose, but the potential to make a lasting difference in the lives of countless individuals keeps me motivated. I continue to push forward, knowing that every effort contributes to a larger goal of creating a healthier, more compassionate society in Nigeria.
